Franco completed his undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering at the University of São Paulo (USP), Lorena campus, where he performed scientific initiation in the area of ceramic materials. After this period, at an internship developed at BASF S/A in Guaratinguetá (SP), he acquired R&D experience. After completing the graduation, his Master of Science degree was completed at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto – USP, working in the area of organic chemistry, developing synthesis research on total synthesis, under the guidance of Dr. Giuliano Cesar Clososki. Now at the Department of Biomolecular Sciences of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto – USP he develops his Doctorate studies in the area of synthesis of bioactive molecules, adding Green Chemistry to it.
