Beco 360° (The Alley: 360°)

Beco 360 (The Alley: 360°) is an investigation that tests the possibilities and limits of 360° audiovisuals and the Orad program as an immersive experience based on an intervention in the urban space. Conceived to contextualize political polarization and the attacks on artistic expressions such as graffiti, the work seeks to show, in a 360 sequence shot, the dynamics of erasing and painting the walls of Beco do Batman, in the Vila Madalena neighborhood of São Paulo, while characters synchronously perform everyday situations in the city.

The combination of the two applied technologies revealed issues that were inventively resolved during the process, such as the difficulty of synchronizing the interaction of characters in the four quadrants, the hybridization of images filmed in the studio and the creation of sound. The project brought together a vast and specialized team of artists, technicians and researchers at LabArteMídia.
