SP Digital

SP Digital integrated the production of audiovisual content, social mobilization activities and dissemination about the switch off of the analogue TV signal in the state of São Paulo in 2017 and the switch to the digital signal by 2023. Throughout 2017, SP Digital produced and broadcast live on IPTV USP a series of programs about the switch process with experts, researchers and technicians, and recorded the activities of the Seja Digital Social Mobilization Campaign in territories of the Capital and mapped the relationship of residents of the state with television. The project was carried out by LabArteMídia – Laboratory of Art, Media and Digital Technologies and the Brazilian Observatory of Digital Television and Technological Convergence (Obted), of the Department of Cinema, Radio and Television (CTR) and the Postgraduate Program in Audiovisual Media Processes (PPGMPA), and is part of the Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation Agreement signed between the University of São Paulo (USP) and Seja Digital (EAD – Entidade Administradora de Processo de Redistribuição e Digitalização de Canais TV e RTV).
