Degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1980), Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1979), Master’s degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1987) and Doctorate’s degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1995). Currently, is reviewer of the Revista Brasileira de Agrociência, professor of the University of São Paulo, reviewer of the journal Química Nova, reviewer of the Journal of Hazardous Materials, reviewer of the journal BioResources, reviewer of the Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária, Member of advisory committee of the Prefeitura Municipal de Lorena, Member of advisory committee of the Agência da Bacia do Rio Paraíba do Sul, Reviewer of project for the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo, Reviewer of project for the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico and Reviewer of project for the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior. Has experience in the area of ​​Forest Resources and Forestry Engineering, with emphasis on Technology and Use of Forest Products. Acting mainly on the following themes: sugarcane bagasse, pre-treatment by steam explosion, delignification, cellulose, polioses and lignin.
