We present data on amendments from the Chamber of Deputies labeled as foreign expenditure, containing the thematic areas (international cooperation, trade promotion, etc.) and political parties of the authors of the amendments. Public payments are divided into three types: the committed amount is the first stage of the execution of public expenditure. It represents the reservation of resources in the budget for a specific expense, an amendment in this case. The settled amount is the second stage and occurs when the contracted service has been effectively provided or the product has been delivered. At this point, the public administration verifies whether what was contracted (committed) was actually carried out as agreed. Finally, the paid amount is the final stage, when the amount of the expense already committed and settled is effectively transferred to the creditor. The government pays the company or service provider that supplied the good or service. In the data below, we use the paid amount of amendments deflated to December 2022.
