Argentinian writer and journalist, considered one of the leading narrators of the country in the second half of the 20th century. He wrote his first book, Triste, solitario y final, in 1973, featuring characters such as Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, and Philip Marlowe. After the military coup of 1976, he moved to Belgium and then to Paris, only returning to Argentina in 1984. He is the author of several notable works, including No habrá penas ni olvido (1983), Cuarteles de invierno (1983), Artistas, locos y criminales (1984), A sus plantas rendido un león (1988), Una sombra ya pronto serás (1990), El ojo de la patria (1992), Cuentos de los años felices (1993), and La hora sin sombra (1995). He was passionate about cinema and football. His books have been published in over twenty countries and translated into fifteen languages.
