Aids

Requests for financial assistance for participation in scientific events may be sent to the Graduate Program Committee (GPC) or to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

Deadlines:

GPC: requests must be submitted at least 45 days before the event date, coinciding with a closing date of the GPC meeting agenda.
PRPG: requests for assistance to PRPG are suspended; we recommend seeking funding agencies such as CAPES and CNPq.

Scholarships

The regular student interested in obtaining a scholarship must apply in a period to be defined annually.

The Program’s scholarship committee will distribute the available scholarships according to the classification of the requests, according to the criteria established by the Graduate Committee.

All scholars must request renewal of their scholarship annually, according to the documentation listed below.
All scholars must submit an activity report for the period in which they received the benefit, up to one month after the end of the scholarship.

Mandatory conditions for application:

1. have an advisor;
2. Have a research project;

Classification and Criteria:
The classification will take into account the points awarded to the items below, considering their respective weights:

1. structure of the research project and its feasibility, including the following items: justification, objective, method and bibliography (weight 3);
2. Credits and grades in graduate courses or curriculum (weight 2);
3. Papers presented in congresses, publications in journals, participation in “Teaching Seminars” or other research seminars, Scientific Initiation (weight 2).

Documentation for scholarship applications – 1st semester of 2017 (period from 12/03/2016 to 01/27/2017):

1. Letter requesting the scholarship, with the endorsement of the advisor;
2. Updated and complete curriculum of the student;
4. Research project;
5. CAPES form completed – the current account must be from Banco do Brasil, if not, please leave the space blank;

Rendering of accounts and renewal of scholarship – 2017 (period from 12/03/2016 to 01/27/2017):

  1. Letter requesting the renewal of the scholarship;
  2. Updated and complete student’s résumé;
  3. Submission form;
  4. Declaration of employment;
  5. Scholarship report:

The activities described in the report must refer only to the last period of validity of the scholarship, and the report must include the following items:

a. Summary of the research project (Introduction, research objectives and methodology);
b. Description of the research activities developed;
c. Comparative analysis of previous schedules and justification of possible changes;
d. Schedule for the future stages of research;
e. Description of activities developed (participation and organization of events, articles, educational materials, etc);
f. References.

The report must also contain: cover and back cover with the due identification of the scholarship holder and advisor; the formatting of the document following the APA norms in force. The limit is 30 pages.

The scholarship renewal report may be replaced by the qualification report.
