The research group ‘Public Sector Accounting & Governance in Brazil’ was created by researchers from the Accounting Department of the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting at Ribeirao Preto, University of Sao Paulo, to develop an interdisciplinary approach aiming to explore the links between accounting, political sciences, public administration and finance, and mainly their effects on accountability and on public sector performance.

PSAGiB is hosted by University of Sao Paulo, and the research projects are funded by public research agencies.
