The FAPESP Shell Research Centre for Gas Innovation (RCGI) and the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Poli/USP) are announcing post-doctoral scholarships in the area of Chemical Engineering. The scholarship of R$ 6,819.30 per month for 18 months is granted by the Support Fund of the University of São Paulo (FUSP). Applications can be made up to November 10, by clicking here.
Candidates must be familiar with simulation, modeling, and optimization techniques, and must have concluded their Doctoral degree after 2013. Such attributes as fluent English, good communication skills, and having been involved in teamwork, are required. For more information, access the announcement.
Scholarship winners will work in the area of CO2 Abatement and Usage in the RCGI’s Project no. 32, which deals with the use of carbon dioxide as the raw material for generating high aggregate-value products based on chemical conversion processes. The main objective is to do an in-depth study of the processes for converting CO2, including modeling, simulating, and optimizing those processes, in order to assess new technological process routes and carry out the posterior elaboration of a concept project.
The RCGI’s Project 32 is coordinated by Professor Rita Maria de Brito Alves and Professor Cláudio Oller, both of whom are from the Poly Chemical Engineering Department (PQI/POLI/USP).
