Ricardo AZEVEDO
Level 2 CNPq Research Productivity Fellow. Ricardo Rocha de Azevedo is a professor at FEARP, University of São Paulo (USP). He advises master’s and doctoral students in the Graduate Program in Accounting Sciences at FEARP-USP and UFU, and master’s students in the Graduate Program in Public Policy Management at EACH-USP. He holds a postdoctoral degree in Business Administration from EBAPE/FGV (2021), a PhD and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Controllership from FEARP-USP (2016), a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (2009), and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (2005).
He was the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Accounting Sciences (PPGCC-UFU) between 2021 and 2023. He has over 15 years of experience as a public accounting consultant and served as an internal audit accountant for the City Hall of Ribeirão Preto.
He is a representative member of the Federal Accounting Council (CFC) in the Technical Group for Accounting Standardization at the National Treasury Secretariat (CTCONF-STN), and a member of the Permanent Committee on Public Sector Accounting of the Federal Accounting Council (CP-CASP/CFC). He is also a member of the research group “Public Sector Accounting Governance in Brazil” (PSAG), linked to FEARP-USP, and the research group “Financial Resilience of Contemporary Cities,” affiliated with the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP (IEA-USP).
He has been Associate Editor of the Revista de Contabilidade e Organizações (RCO-USP) since 2019 and of the Brazilian Business Review (BBR) since 2022. He was General Coordinator of the 3rd UFU Accounting Congress and Scientific Coordinator of its 4th edition. He is currently the coordinator of the Public Sector Accounting track at the USP Accounting Congress and at the ANPCONT Congress.

Renato VIEIRA
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (2011), a Master’s in Finance from Umeå University (2010), and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2018), funded by CAPES through the Full Doctorate Abroad Program (DPE).
He is currently a professor at the Catholic University of Brasília and a researcher at the Institute for Economic Research Foundation (FIPE). He has experience in the field of Economics, with an emphasis on Regional and Urban Economics, working mainly on the following topics: affirmative action, accessibility index, urban transport, transit fare, and spatial economics.

Ildeberto RODELLO
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Data Processing Technology from the University of Campinas (1994), a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (1998), and a Ph.D. in Applied (Computational) Physics from the University of São Paulo (2003).
He was an Invited Lecturer at the International Week of the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland (2018 and 2021), and a Visiting Professor at Hochschule Neu-Ulm, Germany (2016). He is currently an Assistant Professor (Professor Doutor 2 – RDIDP) at the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at Ribeirão Preto (FEARP) of the University of São Paulo (USP) (since 2008).
He has experience in the field of Information Technology and Systems, focusing primarily on the following topics: data-driven decision-making, process data analysis, and the development of educational platforms.

Alex FERREIRA
Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), researcher in the fields of Macroeconomics and Finance, with a focus on the exchange rate and its determinants. His research covers both exchange rate dynamics and currency risk aspects, combining macro-finance and foreign exchange microstructure approaches. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Kent (2005), a Master’s degree (2001), and a Bachelor’s degree (1995) from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Since 2006, he has been a faculty member of the Department of Economics at FEA-RP/USP, where he became an Associate Professor in 2014.
He has extensive international experience. He was a visiting professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2012, Capes-Fulbright), a visiting researcher at Queen’s University Belfast (2013–2014, Fapesp), and at the University of Warwick (2019, British Academy – Newton Fund). He serves as a referee for national and international academic journals.
In academic administration, he was the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Economics at FEA-RP/USP (2009–2012), chair of the PAE Committee (2009–2011), the Graduate Studies Committee (2016–2018), and the International Relations Committee (2022–2024). He was also editor of the Revista de Economia Aplicada (2006–2008) and led a research project funded by Fapesp under the “Young Researchers” program (2006–2010).

Sérgio SAKURAI
Bachelor’s (2001), Master’s (2004), Ph.D. (2007), and Livre-Docente (2016) degrees in Economics from the University of São Paulo. He is a faculty member in the Department of Economics at FEA-RP/USP, with a Full-Time Dedication to Teaching and Research. He is an associate editor of the journal Economia Aplicada. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in January 2012, and at the University of Cambridge between August 2015 and July 2016, with a scholarship from FAPESP, and between August 2022 and July 2023, with a scholarship from CAPES. His research focuses on Public Sector Economics.

Milton BAROSSI
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (1988), a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (1991), a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of São Paulo (1997), and a Livre-Docência in Economics from the University of São Paulo (2010). Also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the São Francisco School of Law at the University of São Paulo (2017), and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Civil Procedural Law at the same institution. He is currently an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of São Paulo, teaching and conducting research mainly in the field of Law and Economics.

Marcelo PAGLIARUSSI
Holds a Habilitation (Livre-docência) from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FEA-RP/USP), where he is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting.
Conducts research in the field of critical accounting studies, with a particular interest in the intersections between accounting, linguistics, and semiotics. Additionally, he is deeply interested in issues related to accounting education and research.

Marlon Fernandes Rodrigues ALVES
Professor at the University of São Paulo (FEA-RP), where he also earned his bachelor’s degree (2013), master’s degree (2015), and Ph.D. (2019) in Business Administration. He is one of the coordinators of the Global Organizational Learning and Development Network (GOLDEN) for Sustainability in Brazil. He has a particular interest in the field of Strategy, focusing mainly on the following topics: corporate social responsibility, cognition, and innovation.

Cláudia PASSADOR
She holds a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, 1990) and in Social Communication from Universidade Metodista (1991), a Master’s in Public Administration and Government from FGV/EAESP (1998), a PhD in Education from USP (2003), and a Habilitation (Livre-Docência) in Public Administration from FEARP/USP (2012).
She served as Coordinator of the USP Technical and Management School (2013–2015) and is currently a Full Professor of Public Administration in the Department of Business Administration at the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting at Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FEARP/USP).
She has extensive experience in the field of Public Administration, with a focus on public policy evaluation. She has taught in the Graduate Programs at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School (FMRP/USP, 2015–2020), at FEARP/USP, at the “Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP), at China Agricultural University (CAU), and has supervised postdoctoral research at the Institute of Advanced Studies of USP (IEA).
She coordinates the Center for Studies in Management and Contemporary Public Policies of the Institute of Advanced Studies – USP Ribeirão Preto (GPUBLIC/IEA/USP). She has been an ad-hoc consultant for CNPq, Capes, and Fapesp.
She was a visiting professor at Erasmus University and the University of Salamanca and a collaborating researcher at the University of Rome (Tor Vergata). She was also a researcher at NAP/CISBi (FMRP/USP, 2015–2022). She has held prestigious academic positions including: Chair Professor of the Development Chairs Award (IPEA, 2012) and the Cátedra Brasil Award (ENAP, 2019), Senior Researcher at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO/UN, 2022), and recipient of the Open Box da Ciência Award (2020) as one of the 50 leading women in applied social sciences in Brazil.
She was Brazil’s representative at UNDESA (UN), Chair of the Scientific Committee on Public Administration at ANPAD (2018–2020), and Vice-Dean and Dean of the USP Ribeirão Preto Campus (2016–2020). She is a member of the Education Chair Council of the IEA/USP (Ribeirão Preto), of the Advisory Board of the Alfredo Bosi Chair of Basic Education (USP and Itaú Social, 2020–2024), and of the Doctoral Evaluation Committee at the University of Pretoria (South Africa).
She is also an area leader at SEMEAD (FEA/USP), Brazil’s representative and Director of the Latin American Network for Public Administration (LAGPA/IISA), a columnist for Jornal da USP, and a researcher at the Portulans Institute/Oxford University (2023/2024), as well as at the Interinstitutional Collaboration Center for Artificial Intelligence Applied to Public Policies (CIAP/chatPP – IBGE/UFG/UNICAMP). She serves on the Editorial Board of the CLAD Journal, is Chair of the Research and Innovation Committee at FEARP/USP, a guest professor at the National School of Public Administration (ENAP), and President of the Brazilian Society of Public Administration (SBAP).

Marina ROCHA
She is a PhD professor at the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting of Ribeirão Preto (FEA-RP) at the University of São Paulo (USP). She teaches and supervises master’s and doctoral students in the Graduate Program in Organizational Management (PPGAO) at FEA-RP/USP.
Her first postdoctoral research was conducted at Fundação PIO XII and her second at the University of São Paulo. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from FEA-RP/USP, with a sandwich period at the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom. She also earned her Master’s in Organizational Management and Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the same university.
She was a visiting researcher at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) and at Utrecht University. She collaborates internationally on research projects in the fields of sustainability, marketing, and cost-effectiveness. She is a reviewer for national and international academic journals, as well as an ad hoc reviewer for research funding agencies (FAPESB).
She is the founder and coordinator of MASPEM (Marketing Strategy and People Management Research Group), and a researcher at GERBRAS-SCIENCENET, a research group based at HAW Hamburg. She also serves as lead researcher for GERBRAS-Southeast Office.
Her work has been published in high-impact international journals, including: Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, Lancet Regional Health – Americas, Journal of Destination Marketing and Management, European Journal of Marketing, Benchmarking: An International Journal, and Business Process Management Journal.

Silvia DALLAVALLE
Associate Professor at the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (FEA-RP/USP). She conducts research in Business Process Management (BPM), project management, sustainability and BPM, and the strategic alignment between processes, strategy, customer expectations, and information technology within the Graduate Program in Organizational Management at FEA-RP/USP.
She completed her postdoctoral studies in Production Engineering at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), in the Production Engineering Department of the Bauru campus. She holds a PhD in Engineering (2004) and a Master’s degree in Production Engineering (2001), both from the School of Engineering of São Carlos at the University of São Paulo (EESC/USP).
She has been certified as a Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP) by ABPMP since 2010 and as a professional in the Business Process Management Program by BPTrends Associates since 2011.
She is also the proud mother of twin boys, Davi and Gabriel, born in 2006.

Amaury REZENDE
Full Professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), at the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting of Ribeirão Preto (FEA-RP). He holds a Livre-Docência degree in Tax Accounting from FEA-RP/USP (2015) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany (2010). He earned his Master’s (2004) and PhD (2009) degrees in Accounting and Controllership from the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting at USP. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (1999).
He is a CNPq Productivity Fellow (PQ-2) and has published numerous academic articles in accounting and business journals. He currently coordinates the Graduate Program in Accounting and Controllership of Ribeirão Preto (Dinter PPGCC/UFPA) and is the head of the Research Center for Studies in Controllership and Tax Accounting (certified by CNPq and USP). He is the organizer and coordinator of the Workshop on Accounting and Taxation and the coordinator of the MBA in Tax Management at FUNDACE.
He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Revista de Contabilidade e Organizações from 2007 to 2014 and is the author of the books Tax Accounting (2010) and Third Sector Accounting (2012), both published by Atlas.
He has extensive experience in the field of Accounting, with a focus on tax accounting, controllership and tax management, finance, and public accounting. He has held several administrative roles and is an active member of various committees at FEA-RP, the USP Graduate Provost’s Office (PRPG), and central bodies of the University of São Paulo.
He was Vice-Head of the Department of Accounting at FEA-RP, Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Accounting and Controllership (PPGCC) from 2018 to 2020, and Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee at FEA-RP from 2020 to September 2022. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee at FEA-RP (2022–Sep/2024) and General Director of the Department of Administration at USP (2022–2025).

Sílvio NAKAO
He holds a Livre-Docência degree from the University of São Paulo (2013), a Postdoctoral fellowship (Visiting Scholar) from The University of Sydney (2012–2013), a PhD in Accounting and Controllership from the University of São Paulo (2003), a Master’s in Accounting and Controllership from the same university (2000), a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of São Paulo (1996), and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Ribeirão Preto (1992).
He is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting of Ribeirão Preto (FEA-RP), University of São Paulo. He is the leader of the Research Group on Accounting Information, certified by CNPq since 2003. His research focuses on taxation and accounting information.

Ricardo MENEZES
Bachelor’s degree (2006) and Master’s degree (2009) in Accounting from the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting at Ribeirão Preto – University of São Paulo (FEA-RP/USP), and PhD in Accounting from the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting – University of São Paulo (FEA-USP) (2013). Currently an Associate Professor in the Accounting Department at FEA-RP/USP.
Major research line is about Quality of Accounting Information, and also the Economic Consequences resulting from the IFRS adoption, and Corporate Governance practices, the Biological Assets, Sugarcane Fair Value, Biofuel and Carbon Credit Market.
Roni BONIZIO
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting – FEA/USP (1996), a Master’s degree in Controllership and Accounting from the same institution (2001), and a Ph.D. in Controllership and Accounting from FEA/USP (2005). He is currently a tenured professor at the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo – FEA-RP/USP, and a professor at the Foundation for Research and Development in Business, Accounting and Economics – FUNDACE. He has experience in the field of Controllership, with an emphasis on Accounting Information for Internal Users.

Gina Adele GATO
Gina is a guest professor for the Summer Program. She is a specialist in education and neuropsychopedagogy, with a Master’s degree from the United Kingdom in Teaching and Learning and postgraduate studies in neuroscience applied to education, bilingual education, and school management. Experienced educator in English, bilingual teaching, neuro-inclusive education, professional development, and educational project management.
