About Me
I am an Associate Professor at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo (EACH-USP), where I work in Information Systems and Gerontology. I hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the State University of Maringá, a master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Campinas, and a habilitation from USP.
My research spans business process management and process mining, artificial intelligence, social robotics, and algorithmic fairness. I co-lead Process Mining @ USP and SoRo Lab and direct the Centro de IA e Gestão Pública (CIA-GP). I have been a guest researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Before joining USP, I worked in software research and development at CPqD and Motorola.
