Fabio G. Cozman

Professor titular da Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo, diretor do Centro de Inteligência Artificial na USP, e pesquisador 1C CNPq, com foco em aprendizado de máquina e representação de conhecimento e incerteza. PhD pela Carnegie Mellon University (EUA), serviu como program e general chair da Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence, e editor dos periódicos Artificial Intelligence, Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research e Journal of Approximate Reasoning. Foi coordenador do Comitê Especial em Inteligência Artificial da Sociedade Brasileira de Computação, onde recebeu o Prêmio de Mérito Científico em IA.

Full professor at University of São Paulo’s Polytechnic School, director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence at USP, and researcher 1C CNPq, focusing on machine learning and representation of knowledge and uncertainty. PhD from Carnegie Mellon University (US), he served as program and general chair of the Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence, and editor of the Artificial Intelligence Journal, Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research and Journal of Approximate Reasoning. Giselle Beiguelman

Artista e professora livre-docente da FAUUSP. Pesquisa arte e ativismo na cultura urbana e as estéticas contemporâneas da memória, com ênfase nas transformações da imagem e nas políticas do esquecimento. Suas obras artísticas integram acervos como o da Pinacoteca de São Paulo, ZKM (Alemanha), MAC-USP e Latin American Collection da University of Essex. É membro do Laboratório OUTROS Urbanismos (FAUUSP) e do Interdisciplinary Laboratory Image Knowledge – Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Foi coordenadora do curso de Design da FAUUSP (2013-2015). Autora de Memória da amnésia: políticas do esquecimento (2019) e colunista da Rádio USP e da revista Zum.

Artist and professor of the FAUUSP (University of São Paulo’s Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism). She researches art and activism in urban culture and the contemporary aesthetics of memory, with an emphasis on image transformations and forgetfulness policies. Her artistic works are included in collections such as the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, ZKM (Germany), MAC-USP and Latin American Collection at the University of Essex. She is a member of the Laboratory OUTROS Urbanismos (FAUUSP) and of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory Image Knowledge – Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Author of Memória da amnesia: políticas do esquecimento (2019) and columnist for USP Radio and Zum magazine.

Bruno Moreschi

Pesquisador e artista visual. Fez seu pós-doutorado na FAUUSP, é doutor em Artes pela Unicamp, com passagem na University of Arts of Helsinki. Pesquisador sênior do CAD + SR e integrante do projeto Decay without mourning: future thinking heritage practices. Em setembro de 2023, ele inicia pesquisa acadêmica e artística no Collegium Helveticum, em Zurique. Suas investigações estão relacionados à desconstrução de sistemas e à decodificação de procedimentos e práticas sociais nos campos das artes, museus, cultura visual e tecnologia. Projetos reconhecidos por bolsas, exposições e instituições como ZKM, Van Abbemuseum, 33ª Bienal de São Paulo, Prêmio Rumos, Funarte, Fapesp, Capes, Bauhaus Fellowship e Universidade de Cambridge – Histories of AI: Genealogy of Power group.

Researcher and visual artist. He did his post-doc at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (FAUUSP), PhD in Arts at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), with passage at the University of Arts of Helsinki. Senior researcher at the CAD + SR and member of the Decay without mourning project: future thinking heritage practices. In September 2023, he will start academic and artistic research at the Collegium Helveticum, Zurich. André Mintz

Professor adjunto de arte e tecnologia do Departamento de Fotografia e Cinema na Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Doutor e mestre em Comunicação Social pela mesma instituição, também é mestre em Culturas da Arte Mídia na Aalborg University, Lodz University e Danube University Krems. Sua pesquisa volta-se às relações entre arte, visualidades e infraestruturas computacionais em articulações com métodos digitais e estudos sociais de ciência e tecnologia.

Adjunct professor of Art and Technology at Department of Photography and Cinema at the Federal University of Minas Gerais’s School of Fine Arts (EBA UFMG). Holds a PhD and Master in Social Communication from the same institution, and a Master's Degree in Art Media Cultures at Aalborg University, Lodz University and Danube University Krems. His research focuses on the relationships between art, visualities and computational infrastructures in articulation with digital methods and social studies of science and technology.

Dalida Maria Benfield

Pesquisa o pensamento feminista a partir de ações criativas. É co-fundadora do Center for Arts, Design and Social Research (CAD+SR) e do Institute of (im)Possible Subjects. Também faz parte do corpo docente da Vermont College of Fine Arts; e foi pesquisadora visitante na Microsoft Research New England; na Universidade de Aarhus; e professora associada do Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society na Harvard University. Dalida Maria Benfield is an artist, theorist, curator and educator who researches the feminist thinking through creative actions. She is the co-founder of the Center for Arts, Design and Social Research (CAD+SR) and of the Institute of (im)Possible Subjects. She is also a professor of the Vermont College of Fine Arts; and was a visiting scholar at the Microsoft Research New England; a visiting professor at Aarhus University; a associate professor at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University and the coordinator of the Department of Art Education at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Didiana Prata

Arquiteta e designer gráfica, mestre e doutora pela FAUUSP e professora adjunta de design e novas interfaces no Centro Universitário Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP). Pesquisa o design de narrativas na contemporaneidade e o uso de IA como estratégia criativa e curatorial. Realiza projetos curatoriais, editoriais e expositivos relacionados à cultura visual, educação, arquitetura, antropologia urbana e meio ambiente, entre outros temas. É membro do Grupo de Pesquisas Estéticas da Memória no grupo no século 21 (CNPq-FAUUSP).

Architect and graphic designer, she holds a master's and doctorate from FAUUSP and is an assistant professor of design and new interfaces at the Centro Universitário Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP). She researches contemporary narrative design and the use of AI as a creative and curatorial strategy. She carries out curatorial, editorial and exhibition projects related to visual culture, education, architecture, urban anthropology and the environment, among other topics. She is a member of the Aesthetics of Memory Research Group in the 21st Century (CNPq-FAUUSP).

Rafael Grohmann

Professor de estudos de midia com foco em estudos criticos de plataformas na Universidade de Toronto. Diretor da iniciativa DigiLabour e do Observatorio do Cooperativismo de Plataforma. Co-diretor do Critical Digital Methods Institute. Pesquisador dos projetos Fairwork e Platform Work Inclusion Living Lab. Sua pesquisa foca em trabalho por plataformas, inteligencia artificial e trabalho, cooperativismo de plataforma e plataformas de propriedade de trabalhadores.

Assistant professor of media sudies with focus on critical platform studies at the University of Toronto. Director of DigiLabour Initiative and Platform Cooperativism Observatory. Co-Director of Critical Digital Methods Institute. Researcher of Fairwork and Platform Work Inclusion Living Lab projects. Amanda Chevtchouk Jurno

Doutora e mestre pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da Universdade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Pesquisadora e professora, é jornalista formada pela mesma universidade. Dentre seus interesses de pesquisa: plataformas, algoritmos e tecnologias e suas interfaces com a comunicação e o jornalismo, com foco nas influências éticas e sociais de suas agências. Em sua tese de doutorado, discutiu a plataformização do jornalismo pelo Facebook entre 2014 e 2019.

Holds a PhD and a Master in Social Communication from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Researcher and Professor, she has a degree in journalism from the same university. Among her research interests: discussions about platforms, algorithms and technologies and their interfaces with communication and journalism, focusing on the ethical and social influences of their agencies. In her PhD Dissertation she discussed the platformization of journalism by Facebook between 2014 and 2019.

Andrey Koens

Artista, graduado em Design Gráfico. Mestrando em Artes Visuais no Instituto de Artes da UNESP (orientado pelo professor e artista Sérgio Romagnolo), onde estabelece correspondências entre tecnologia e pintura brasileira. Suas investigações relacionam estéticas do digital à poéticas da imagem pictórica, explorando pós fotografia, IA e tradução som-imagem. Desde 2010, desenvolve softwares, com projetos para Itelios do Brasil (Capgemini), Instituto Moreira Salles e galeria Luisa Strina.

Artist, with a degree in Graphic Design. Master's student in Visual Arts at the UNESP’s Arts Institute (supervised by artist and professor Sérgio Romagnolo), where he establishes correspondences between technology and Brazilian paintings. His investigations relate aesthetics from digital to poetics of pictorial image, exploring post photography, AI and sound-image translation. Since 2010, he develops softwares, with projects for Itelios do Brasil (Capgemini), Instituto Moreira Salles and Luisa Strina gallery.

Felipe Mamone

Artista, historiador, educador e mestrando em Artes Visuais pela ECA USP. Suas pesquisas orientam-se pelo estudo crítico das interconexões entre tecnologia, documento e memória em museus, arquivos e bancos de dados, com ênfase em estratégias artísticas de visualização e transformação dessas estruturas. É formado em História pela FFLCH USP e trabalhou com arte-educação em diversas instituições de São Paulo. Membro do Grupo Realidades (ECA/CNPq), com projetos coletivos expostos no Festival Internacional de la Imagen, Festival Internacional da Linguagem Eletrônica e Museu Nacional da República.

Artist, historian, art-mediator, and a master student in Visual Arts at ECA USP. His research focuses on critical studies of the interconnection between technology, documentation and memory in museums, archives and databases, with an emphasis on artistic strategies of visualization and transformation of these structures. He holds a degree in History from FFLCH USP and has worked with art-mediation in several institutions in São Paulo. He is also a member of the Realidades Group (ECA/CNPq), with collective projects exhibited at the International Image Festival, International Electronic Language Festival, and the National Museum of the Republic.

Gabriel Francisco Lemos

Gabriel Francisco Lemos é compositor, artista visual e pesquisador. Seu trabalho aborda o som, a linguagem e a tecnologia em contextos performáticos, multimídias e de produção textual. Suas peças foram apresentadas em festivais, eventos e exposições no Brasil, Londres, Chile, Holanda, Alemanha, Mônaco e Portugal. Como doutorando no Departamento de Música da ECA USP, Lemos pesquisa a implementação de redes neurais para a síntese sonora, assim como sua aplicação em processos de composição multimídia.

Gabriel Francisco Lemos is a composer, visual artist and researcher. His work addresses sound, language and technology in performance, multimedia and textual production contexts. His pieces have been presented at festivals, events and exhibitions in Brazil, London, Chile, Holland, Germany, Monaco and Portugal. As a doctoral student at the Department of Music at ECA USP, Lemos researches the implementation of neural networks for sound synthesis, as well as their application in multimedia composition processes.

Gabriel Pereira

Gabriel Pereira é pós-doutorando do Fundo de Pesquisa Independente da Dinamarca, baseado como Pesquisador Visitante na London School of Economics and Political Science (Reino Unido). Sua pesquisa se concentra em estudos críticos de dados, algoritmos e infraestruturas digitais, particularmente aqueles de visão computacional e vigilância algorítmica.

Gabriel Pereira is a postdoctoral fellow at the Independent Research Fund of Denmark, based as a Visiting Researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK). His research focuses on critical studies of data, algorithms and digital infrastructures, particularly those of computer vision and algorithmic surveillance.

Helena Tourinho

Arquiteta graduada pela Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de Brasília (UnB), mestranda em arquitetura na FAUUSP. Atualmente pesquisa as representações de morte e luto em arquitetura e os paralelos dessa linguagem com as artes visuais: os signos construtivos que veiculam certas leituras fúnebres e o campo semântico que informa a prática arquitetônica. Os interesses de pesquisa são sistemas de linguagem e representação, os limites semânticos da linguagem escrita, e a possível sobreposição ou transposição entre autores e códigos de transmissão de mensagens.

Architect graduated at Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Brasilia (UnB), master's student in architecture at FAUUSP. Currently researching representations of death and mourning in architecture and the parallels between this language and the visual arts: the built signs that convey certain solemn and somber readings and the semantic field that informs architectural practice. Research interests are language and representation systems, the semantic limits of written language, and the possible overlap or transposition between authors and message transmission codes.

Luiza Machado Futuro

Pesquisadora, escritora e autora da News From Futuro. Interessada em criar estratégias transdisciplinares e realistas para ampliar a produção de conhecimento, sobre as subjetividades na relação entre humanidades e tecnologias digitais, principalmente no campo da Inteligência Artificial. Bolsista do programa de liderança e cidadania global, desenvolvido pelo Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship na Lehigh University, Pennsylvania (2004), formada em Administração de Empresas com ênfase em Marketing pela Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (2009), e com mestrado em Análise Crítica e Criativa, pela Goldsmiths University of London (2016).

Researcher, writer, and author of News From Futuro. I am interested in creating transdisciplinary and realistic strategies to expand the production of knowledge about subjectivities concerning the relationship between humanities and digital technologies, especially artificial intelligence. Fellow of the global leadership and citizenship program, developed by Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania (2004), graduated in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the School of Advertising and Marketing (2009), and with a master's degree in Critical and Creative Analysis from Goldsmiths University of London (2016).

Como curadora, já realizou mostras como Against, Again: Art Under Attack in Brazil (2020), na Anya and Andrew Shiva Gallery (John Jay College, CUNY), em Nova York; Táticas de Desaparecimento (2021), no Paço das Artes, e diversos projetos em galerias e instituições de arte.

Rafael Igayara

Arquiteto, designer, e urbanista pela FAUUSP. Entre 2017 e 2021 foi arquiteto líder de projetos na equipe de criação do escritório franco-brasileiro Triptyque Architecture. Desde 2021 integra a equipe do escritório AO-SP, como arquiteto coordenador de criação e especialista em design computacional. Suas investigações projetuais e interesses de pesquisa abrangem as relações entre tecnologia, computação, espacialidade, crise climática, e arquitetura contemporânea.

Architect, designer, and urbanist graduated from FAUUSP (University of São Paulo’s Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism). Between 2017 and 2021, worked for french-brazilian office Triptyque Architecture as project leader. Since 2021 he has worked for AO-SP, as design coordinator and computational design specialist. His design and research work encompasses topics relating to technology, computation, spatiality, climate crisis, and contemporary architecture.

Rodrigo Faustini

Rodrigo Faustini é doutorando em Meios e Processos Audiovisuais pela Universidade de São Paulo e bolsista FAPESP, com estágio de pesquisa na King's College London. Pesquisador e artista, seus trabalhos concentram-se na materialidade e infraestrutura de sistemas audiovisuais, com enfoque nas passagens entre o analógico, o eletrônico e o digital nas poéticas midiáticas experimentais. Como pesquisador, apresentou trabalhos em eventos como Besides the Screen, Konfigurationen des Films e CreativeAI e enquanto artista exibiu obras no Ars Eletronica, Bienal de la Imagen en Movimiento, The Wrong Biennale e o festival internacional de animação de Annecy (premio Off-Limits 2018).

Rodrigo Faustini is a PhD candidate at the University of São Paulo and a FAPESP fellow, with a research internship at King's College London. As a researcher and artist, his works focus on the materiality and infrastructure of audiovisual systems, focusing on transits between analogue, electronic and digital poetics in experimental practice. As a researcher, he has participated in events such as Besides the Screen, Konfigurationen des Films and CreativeAI and as an artist he has exhibited at Ars Eletronica, Bienal de la Imagen en Movimiento, The Wrong Biennale and Annecy international animation festival (2018 Off-Limits award).

Renato Furquim Vry

Pesquisador, arquiteto e urbanista, é graduado pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM) e mestre em Arquitetura pela Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo (FAUUSP). Suas investigações científicas estão relacionadas às intersecções entre arte digital, tecnologia e cultura urbana, com ênfase no processo de instrumentalização das cidades contemporâneas e suas novas gramáticas visuais.

Researcher, architect, and urban planner, graduated from the State University of Maringá (UEM) and holds a master's degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (FAUUSP). Em 2018, foi responsável pela programação e implementação do projeto Outra 33ª Bienal de São Paulo, e, em 2020, implementou o Exch w/ Turkers, que evidencia o papel de humanos nas IAs.

Monique Lemos

Antropóloga, pesquisadora, curadora, creative foresight strategist, fundadora e CEO da topo, consultoria de estratégia criativa e laboratório de futuros plurais. É nômade digital como forma de ampliar continuamente seu repertório cultural, sempre em busca de tendências e insights globais. Formada em Cinema (AIC), Sociologia e Política e Antropologia Digital (FESPSP) e atualmente mestranda em Design de Inteligência Artificial Responsável pela Elisava, Escola de Design e Engenharia de Barcelona. Seus interesses científicos são sobre o futuro da relação humano-máquina, usos criativo da IA (experiência, pesquisa, entretenimento) e as relações entre visão computacional, racismo e necropolítica.

Anthropologist, researcher, curator, creative foresight strategist, founder and CEO of topo, creative strategy consultancy and laboratory of plural futures. She is a digital nomad as a way to continually expand her cultural repertoire, always looking for global trends and insights. Graduated in Cinema (AIC), Sociology and Politics and Digital Anthropology (FESPSP) and currently a Master's student in Artificial Intelligence Design Responsible for Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering. Her scientific interests are in the future of the human-machine relationship, creative uses of AI (experiment, research, entertainment) and the relationships between computer vision, racism and necropolitics.

Co-diretora do Olabi, onde coordena a PretaLab e outras iniciativas. Pesquisadora do Grupo de Pesquisa em Políticas e Economia da Informação e da Comunicação da Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da UFRJ e mestre em Cultura e Territorialidades pela UFF. Participou do Lauttasaari Manor Residency, Finlândia, colaborando por com o projeto Anti-Racism Media Activist Alliance (ARMA). Em 2019, co-dirigiu o documentário Quadro Negro. Também é colaboradora da plataforma Afroflix. Em 2017, recebeu o prêmio Destaques da Cultura Digital: Inovação Social e Tecnologia, do CCBB e do Programa Avançado de Cultura Contemporânea da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
