The Laboratory for Research and Innovation on Catalytic Processes (LaPCat) of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Escola Politécnica, Universidade de São Paulo (Poli/USP), constitutes a center of excellence for the development of fundamental and technological research applied to catalytic processes, aiming to train highly qualified personnel and technical advisory in the areas of Catalysis and Chemical Kinetics.
LaPCat has as main objective the synthesis, physical-chemical characterization and application of catalysts in heterogeneous catalytic processes for the sustainable use of natural gas, biogas, hydrogen and CO2, spreading the knowledge for the economic and energetic potential of natural gas and hydrogen and contributing for the innovation and competitiveness of national research.
