Posters — Printing and Presentation
File Format
- Portrait (vertical) orientation.
Dimensions
- Panel size: 0.90 m (width) × 1.20 m (height).
Content and Legibility
- Title, authors and affiliation should be prominently displayed at the top.
- Minimum font size: 24 pt for body text and 36–40 pt for the title, allowing readability from about 1.5 m away.
- Prioritize figures, tables and concise points; avoid long blocks of text.
- The poster may be presented in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, but the poster text itself must be written in English.
Printing
- Each author is responsible for printing the poster and bringing it ready for mounting on the day of the session.
Mounting and Session
- Each poster is assigned an identification number, published in the program; locate your corresponding panel before the session begins.
- Mounting materials (double-sided tape or Velcro) will be provided on site.
- The presenting author must remain by the poster for the entire session.
- Mounting: during the morning coffee break. Removal: at the end of the session day.
Oral Presentations — Slides
Duration
- 15 minutes total: approximately 12 minutes for the presentation plus 3 minutes for questions.
File Format
- PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF, widescreen (16:9).
- Name the file with the presenter’s name and session/date, to help with organization.
Submission and Equipment
- Bring the file on a USB drive and load it onto the room’s computer at least 15 minutes before the session starts.
Content
- Clear, objective text, legible from the back of the room (minimum 24 pt).
- The talk itself may be given in Portuguese, English or Spanish; the slide text, however, must be in English.
