The Cineclube (CDCC Cinema Club) aims to promote and disseminate science and culture to the community in general. Since 1981, the Cinema Club has been showing art and cultural films on Saturdays at 8 pm. Admission is free. Aiming at debating ideas and concepts, the program is carefully designed to encourage reflection and discussion on the themes addressed in the films. Productions from countries such as Romania, Greece, Iran, South Korea, Mexico, Bolivia, and Chile are commonplace in the monthly schedule, giving viewers the opportunity to learn about the traditions, lifestyles and characteristics of films from these countries. Films such as these are not usually shown as commercial ones in cinemas or on TV channels, and therefore, the CDCC Cinema Club helps to disseminate the seventh art.
