A multidisciplinary school that brings together diverse areas of knowledge for an immersive experience for facing new epidemics.

A SCHOOL FOR ALL

Masters and Doctoral students, young researchers in the life sciences, human and social sciences, and exact sciences with experience or interest in working to prevent epidemics are invited to apply.

We are hoping to receive applications from candidates with a background  from a diverse set of disciplines related to epidemic preparedness and who are open to dialogue with students from different backgrounds.

People from all regions of the world can apply. There is no registration fee, and those accepted will have their accommodation, food, and travel expenses covered. A total of 100 students will be accepted.

INTERDISCIPLINARY DIALOGUES

The School aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogues for research and action by focusing on core tracks: mathematical and statistical modeling, genomics, epidemiological surveillance, public policies, immunology, and dialogue with society.

Outstanding researchers will offer mini-courses focusing on how these areas contribute to effectively responding to epidemiological emergencies.

APPLIED EXERCISES
Participants will work in multidisciplinary groups in simulated situation rooms and collect hands-on experience in site visits. Most afternoons will be dedicated to these practical activities led by instructors and teaching assistants. The school will be held in English language
