Luis Fernando Mercier Franco, PhD student of GEnBio, has received in Greece the Helmut Knapp Award for the best poster presentation. The award was given during the 28th European Symposium on Applied Thermodynamics in Athens from 11 to 14 June. The work considered for the award was recently accepted for publication in AIChE Journal, one of the most prestigious international journals in chemical engineering community. In addition to the recognition for the work, Franco will receive € 500.
The chemical engineer is advised by Prof. Pedro de Alcântara Pessôa Filho, which has just won the Esteban A. Brignole Award – First edition of the award that recognizes research work in Applied Thermodynamics area.
