Between June 8 and 13, 2025, PhD student Heloisa Ruschel Bortolini participated in the 29th North American Catalysis Society Meeting (NAM29), held in Atlanta, Georgia (USA).
During the event, Heloisa presented part of her doctoral research, discussed relevant topics in the field of catalysis with renowned researchers, reconnected with colleagues, and established new professional connections.
Her presentation focused on the deposition of gallium oxide onto zeolites via Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and its application in the dehydroaromatization of ethane. Part of this work was developed during her time as a visiting scholar at Northwestern University, under the supervision of Professor Justin Notestein.
It was an extremely enriching experience that provided valuable learning opportunities and meaningful interactions with inspiring researchers in the field.
