Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) synthesis is a set of catalytic processes that can be used to produce liquid fuels and high value-added chemicals from synthesis gas (H2 + CO), which can be obtained by reforming natural gas. The development of new catalysts with high activity and selectivity is highly desirable in order to obtain better quality and value products. The focus of this project is the application of nanomaterials, especially graphene and its oxides, as a catalyst for F-T synthesis. The influence of the addition of Cobalt and Ruthenium in Co/Nb2O5 catalysts and their effects on F-T synthesis in monolithic reactors will also be evaluated.
