Research line

Immunobiology of tumors and dendritic cells

Summary

The research in our laboratory I dedicated to the study of the relationships between the immune system and neoplasia, both in human patients and in animal models. We have been studying functional alterations in different immune cell populations, including T and B lymphocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells in patients with different types of cancer. At the same time we have attempting to develop dendritic cell-based immunotherapeutic approaches for cancer and to identify predictive factors of response in this setting.
