Interesses e projetos

A investigação da “genética do inflamassoma” abre novos horizontes na compreensão da patogenia da doença multifatorial e na descoberta de alvos terapêuticos para novos abordagens terapêuticos.

Atualmente os focos da pesquisa são

  • Estudos de associação genéticas com variantes polimórficas funcionais selecionadas em componentes do inflamassoma em cortes de doenças multifatoriais (infecciosas ou não) e estudo do impacto funcional destas variantes.
  • Analise do inflamassoma em leucócitos humanos em modelos in vitro.
  • Testes funcionais para pacientes com doenças auto-inflamatórias monogênicas ou multifatoriais e sem caracterização genética.
