Publication of the book “Environmental Diplomacy”
The book “Environmental Diplomacy”, organized by Professor Dr. Wânia Duleba and Ambassador Rubens Antônio Barbosa, is composed of texts written by several researchers, including teachers and students of PPGSUS. The objective of the work is to offer an unbiased analysis of the fulfillment of the commitments assumed by Brazil, in more than 60 international norms and 15 environmental agreements, from 1992 to the present.
The book is organized into three major thematic axes: the first axis Climate Change, addresses the Trade and Climate category and consists of two chapters that deal with topics related to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Ozone Regime. The second Nature, axis is divided into three parts: Trade and Fisheries, Trade and Biodiversity and Trade, Sustainable Management and Forests. And, finally, the third axis deals with the International Chemical Safety Regime, consisting of a chapter that deals with the Minamata Convention on Mercury.
