Brazilian authorities recently announced that the visa exemption for citizens of the USA, Canada, and Australia has been extended until April 2025. If you hold one of these passports valid for six months after the entry date, you will not be required to apply for a visa.

Registration policy
All submitted papers must have at least one of the authors registered to attend the conference and present the paper in the assigned technical session. A registered attendee can present a maximum of two papers at the meeting.
- Registrations must be made through the ABCM Event Management System (link at bottom of page).
- Payment can be made by:
- “PayPal” account by credit or debit cards (best option for international registrations).
- “Boleto” to be paid through a Brazilian bank (a CPF number is required).
- “Empenho” to be paid by institutions through the Brazilian banking system.
- At least one author must register for each accepted paper for presentation. Papers that are not presented will not be included in the conference proceedings.
- The registration fee payment entitles the participant to attend all activities in the technical and social programs.
- Authors who request cancellation of the registration before June 2, 2024, will receive a reimbursement of 70% of the value paid. A refund will not be possible after June 2, 2024. If the final paper is rejected, the author will receive full reimbursement.
- Any questions related to registration, payment and emission of payment receipt should be directed to fiv2024@usp.br with the subject: “FIV2024 – Registration and payment”.
