The Luxury Apartments are located in the main hotel building, closer to the conference center. The Collection Apartments are located in the annex, across the parking lot, with access through a walkway. We recommend you choose the Luxury Apartments while they are available.

Travel information
The city of Foz do Iguaçu is located in the Southern Region of Brazil, in Paraná State, right on the border with Argentina and Paraguay. The easiest way is to set your final destination in Brazil as Aeroporto Internacional de Foz do Iguaçu (IGU). This international airport is only a taxi drive from the hotel.
The main airport hub in Brazil is Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo (GRU). Most international airlines will have daily flights directly to GRU. From GRU, there are daily direct flights to IGU operated by the Brazilian airlines Latam and Gol. The direct flights from GRU to IGU take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. If GRU is your first port of entry in Brazil, you must clear customs at GRU before connecting to IGU.
Please note that there is another city airport in São Paulo, Congonhas Airport (CGH), that also offers direct flights to Iguaçu Falls. If you plan to fly to GRU, it is recommended to avoid transferring from GRU to CGH, as this can take a significant amount of time, depending on traffic.
There are also direct flights to IGU from other international airports in Brazil, including Galeão Airport in Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Porto Alegre (POA), Viracopos Airport in Campinas (VCP), Curitiba (CWB), and Florianópolis (FLN). The IGU airport also receives direct flights from Lima, Montevideo and Santiago de Chile. If you decide to land in Argentina and cross the border to Brazil, the nearest airport in Argentina is Aeropuerto Internacional Cataratas del Iguazu (IGR), which operates flights from Buenos Aires and other cities in Argentina. Visas to Brazil
Brazil operates under a reciprocity law. If your country requires a visa from Brazilian citizens, you will need one to enter Brazil (reciprocity on visa fees also applies). Check this link and official channels to verify your Visit Visa (VIVIS) requirements.
An invitation letter to support your visa application may be provided after your abstract has been accepted. Please contact Prof Gustavo Assi if you need one. Make sure to apply for a visa with enough time.
- Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia and Japan will require a Visa to visit Brazil.
- Citizens of most European countries will not require a Visa to visit Brazil for less than 90 days.
Other likely costs
Airport transfer: The Recanto Cataratas Thermas Resort & Convention is a 25-minute drive from the Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (IGU). Taxi, Uber and other transfer services are readily available.
Car rental: Various car rental companies operate at the IGU airport. Parking is free at the conference hotel and most tourist attractions in Foz do Iguaçu. Pay attention that some companies will not allow you to drive a rented vehicle into Argentina or Paraguay (remote blocking devices may operate).
