Formada em História variante de Arqueologia, pela Faculdade de letras da Universidade de Lisboa (2000), Mestre em Antropologia Social e história da Europa (2004), Doutorada em Arqueologia pré -histórica de África, pela Universidade de Toulouse Jean Jaurés (2009). Suas pesquisas são focalizadas sobre os sítios de concheiros do Litoral sul de Luanda, com maior enfoque na cerâmica da idade do Ferro de Angola, assim como na Pré -história e história da região Kongo. Coordenou o projecto científico “Mbanza Kongo, vestígios da antiga capital do reino do Kongo”, para inscrição na lista do património mundial (2017). Atualmente é pós-doutoranda no MAE, com o projecto “Mitigação da erosão hídrica no município de Mbanza Kongo”.

 

Researcher at the Isotope Laboratory of the National Center for Scientific Research (Angola). Postdoctoral fellow at Labmicro, MAE. Archaeologist with the Mbanza Kongo Management Committee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History with a concentration in Archaeology from the Faculty of Letters at the University of Lisbon (2000), a master’s degree in Social Anthropology and European History (2004), and a Ph.D. in Prehistoric African Archaeology from the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès (2009). Her research focuses on shell middens along the southern coast of Luanda, with a particular emphasis on Angolan Iron Age pottery, as well as on the prehistory and history of the Kongo region. She coordinated the scientific project “Mbanza Kongo: Remains of the Ancient Capital of the Kingdom of Kongo” for inscription on the World Heritage List (2017). She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at MAE, working on the project “Mitigation of Water Erosion in the Municipality of Mbanza Kongo.”
