Areas of Interest:

- Pharmaceutical biotechnology – emphasis on the production and obtaining of biomolecules for therapeutic use (drugs and biopharmaceuticals), especially with a focus on Downstream processing steps: extraction/purification/polishing;
- Nanobiotechnology – emphasis on studies of release, stability, and viability of biopharmaceuticals encapsulated or incorporated into nanostructured systems (polymeric micelles, polymersomes, polymeric nanoparticles, and scaffolds) consisting of amphiphilic copolymers, surfactants, and ionic liquids.
