Profa. Inês Roberto

Graduated in Chemical Engineering (1982) from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of Lorena and Doctorate’s degree in Biochemical-Pharmaceutical Technology (Fermentation Technology) from the University of São Paulo (1997). Currently, is a Professor at the Engineering College of Lorena of the University of São Paulo. Coordinated the Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology and was Vice-President of the CPG (Comissão de Pós-Graduação) of EEL/USP from 03/2007 to 03/2011. Was Member of the Central Commission of the Programa de Aperfeiçoamento de Ensino (PAE) of USP from 2007 to 2014. Has experience in the area of Applied Microbiology and Biochemical Engineering, acting mainly on the following themes: fermentation of pentoses, with emphasis on the obtention of ethanol and xylitol, use of lignocellulosic biomass in biotechnological or chemical processes, extraction of biomolecules.
