Second Joint UT and USP PhD degree: continuation of a unique international collaboration

The University of Twente and two engineering schools of the University of São Paulo: Escola Politécnica da USP (EPUSP) and Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos da USP (EESC) offer high-quality research groups and share a similar academic culture and have decided to continue their unique and successful academic collaboration. The Rectors and responsible Deans of both universities signed a new joint PhD programme agreement. The joint PhD programme aims to promote academic collaboration by co-supervising PhD students. The PhD research results in a single PhD diploma, carried out under the joint responsibility of the University of Twente and the University São Paulo.
The first joint PhD programme between the two universities started in 2019 and includes five PhD projects in the domain of transport engineering and water management. The PhD projects contribute to solutions for sustainable urban transport and interconnected water-energy-food ecosystems. The second joint degree agreement aims to strengthen and broaden the collaboration between the two universities in the next five years.

A Dupla Titulação é uma parceria firmada por convênio acadêmico internacional entre a USP e uma Instituição de ensino e pesquisa estrangeira, e implica em reciprocidade. Visa a preparação do aluno em regime de coorientação para titulação válida e reconhecida nas duas instituições.
Objetivo
A Dupla titulação visa promover e desenvolver uma cooperação científica entre equipes de pesquisa da USP e de Instituições Estrangeiras.
Para participar você deve estar matriculado(a) em um dos programas de pós-graduação da Escola Politécnica ou da Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos.
Leia o convênio:
- Termo de Compromisso (em português e no idioma estrangeiro), quando se tratar de Convênio Geral;
- Plano de Trabalho com a descrição das atividades a serem realizadas (em português e no idioma estrangeiro);
- Cronograma de Execução das Atividades (em português e no idioma estrangeiro);
- Diploma de Graduação do aluno com respectivo registro e comprovante de matrícula do ano corrente, se for aluno estrangeiro. Se for aluno USP, a ficha do aluno é suficiente;
- Curriculum do Orientador Estrangeiro;
- Aprovação do Colegiado (CCP; CPG e Congregação ou instância equivalente);
