Depositing Propoals

Defense proposal items must be in accordance with the format of the dissertation or thesis to be defended, containing copy, cover sheet, summary, abstract in Portuguese and text. There is no need to include the advisory committee, cataloguing sheet, or abstract in English in the defense proposal. The following items must be delivered by the last day before the defense proposal due date (see your deadline in the Janus System):

  • 5 two-sided printed copies (with spiral binding): 03 for the committee members and 02 for alternates;
  • A printed and signed copy of the Defense Proposal Request and one copy in Word format sent to the secretary’s email (form available at: //sites.usp.br/psicologiarp – Forms).

Deposit deadlines are available on the Program’s page (//sites.usp.br/psicologiarp), under “Presentation”, “Meetings Calendar”.

Defense items must be in accordance to the FFCLRP-USP guidelines and APA standards (link containing instructions:

).

The student must deliver the following items by the last day before the deadline (see your deadline in the Janus System):

  • 4 two-sided printed copies: 3 for members (spiral, brochure or hardcover binding) and 1 for the Campus Library (brochure or hardcover binding, containing information on the spine, as per the instructions provided by USP Central Library);
  • 4 copies in PDF format that must be delivered on CD-ROMs (3 for members and 1 for the Program’s secretary);
  • A printed and signed copy of the Defense Request and one copy in Word format sent to the secretary’s email (form containing 10 names to compose the advisory committee, available at: //sites.usp.br/psicologiarp – Forms);
  • Deposit Authorization (form available at site www.ffclrp.usp.br – Graduate Program – Forms);
  • One copy of a scientific paper derived from thesis research (see the Program’s Regulations available at the Program’s website //sites.usp.br/psicologiarp, under “Rules and Regulations”, “Current Regulations”). The paper may be in accordance with the writing standards required for submission by the scientific journal of your interest.

  • 6 two-sided printed copies: 5 for full members (spiral, brochure or hardcover binding) and 1 for the Campus Library (brochure or hardcover binding, containing information on the spine, as per the instructions provided by USP Central Library);
  • 7 copies in PDF format that must be delivered on CD-ROMs (6 for members and 1 for the Program’s secretary);
  • A printed and signed copy of the Defense Request and one copy in Word format sent to the secretary’s email (form containing 12 names to compose the advisory committee, available at: //sites.usp.br/psicologiarp – Forms);
  • Deposit Authorization (form available at site www.ffclrp.usp.br – Graduate Program – Forms);
  • One copy of a scientific paper derived from dissertation research, containing proof of submission to a scientific journal assessed by CAPES’ WebQualis (See the Program’s Regulations available at Program’s website //sites.usp.br/psicologiarp, in “Rules and Regulations”, Current Regulations”). The paper may be in accordance with the writing standards required for submission by the scientific journal to which you submitted it.
