2nd Workshop in Complex Systems Modeling

April 05th to 07th, 2022

The 2nd Workshop on Modeling Complex Systems at EACH-USP will take place on April 5th to 7th, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, in online format.

The objectives of the workshop are:
a) Publicize the dissertation projects in progress in the PPG-SCX community;
b) Foster interactions among program students (and, if possible, between students and graduates);
c) Foster potential research partnerships among professors on topics of ongoing projects.

The event will mainly consist of short video presentations (up to 15 minutes) by students and faculty, followed by a few minutes for questions and discussions.

The presentations will replace the annual report. For this reason, students assigned in 2019, 2020 or 1st semester/2021 who have not yet delivered their dissertations must present their work. Students who do not meet the above conditions and faculty are also invited to make their presentations.

Important dates:

– Submission of short abstracts: until 03/18 (see instructions below)
– Submission of the videos of the presentations: until 01/04 (see instructions below)

Instructions for short abstract submission:

Click here to submit your short abstract (up to 2 pages). It can be written directly on the form, or it can be sent as a file (DOC, DOCX, ODT or PDF format). The form allows both types of submission.

In any case, the abstract must contain:
– Title;
– Authors (student, advisor, collaborators, if any);
– Abstract text (suggested structure: introduction, objectives, methods, results, discussions, conclusions, main references)

Instructions for video submission:

The video must be recorded in MP4 format, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes and saved in a repository (Google Drive, Dropbox, Youtube, etc) accessible through a link.
Use the form to enter the access link to your video.

Schedule: to be announced on 03/25.
Abstract notebook: to be published on 03/25.
