Glossary of Document Species/Formats and Types

The Glossary of Record Formats and Types  was created in 1997 as an auxiliary tool for identifying records covered by the University of São Paulo. Although many of them are similar to those generated and/or accumulated by other universities and institutions, public and private, USP has particularities as a result of the fulfillment of its teaching, research and extension activities. Therefore, it is necessary to have its own Glossary that is demarcated by the types and record formats produced/received/archived by the University.

The Glossary also contains definitions that help in daily work, as they make it possible to distinguish when, for example, a certificate or certificate should be produced.
