Tandem Conversion of Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) and CO2

Coordinator

This project is part of C2C (Center to Center), an initiative between CISTAR (Center for Innovative and Strategic Transformation of Alkane Resources), RCGI (Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation) and CINE (Center for Innovation on New Energies) for research collaboration. The overall goal is to enhance the centers’ mission by pooling complementary knowledge and, where possible, to develop systems-level integrations of each center’s most promising technologies. The combination of relevant technologies is a key bridge towards a transition to a lower greenhouse gas (GHG) economy and to complement efforts towards a transition to all renewable energy sources. This specific project explores the selective and efficient conversion of ethane and CO2 to chemicals through tandem catalytic processes.
