The Centro de Pesquisa para Inovação em Gases de Efeito Estufa (RCGI) is a center of excellence based at USP that develops research focused on energy transition, sustainability, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, and technologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
OTIC
Research center based at the Escola Politécnica da USP focused on developing technologies for the future offshore industry. Its research covers energy transition, carbon capture, hydrogen, digitalization, advanced materials, operational safety, and circular economy, promoting sustainable solutions for the challenges of the energy sector.
EMBRAPII
The EMBRAPII Powertrain-USP Unit, based at the Escola Politécnica da USP, develops applied research and technological innovation projects in partnership with the automotive industry. Its activities are focused on developing solutions for vehicle propulsion systems, covering internal combustion engines, renewable fuels, electric motors, hybrid systems, and technologies for increasing energy efficiency.
The unit’s activities also include research into intelligent powertrain management systems, embedded electronics, and advanced control technologies. Through the integration between university and the productive sector, EMBRAPII Powertrain-USP contributes to the advancement of sustainable mobility and the competitiveness of the Brazilian automotive industry.
