The Graduate Support Program (PROAP – Programa de Apoio à Pós-graduação) is designed to provide enhanced conditions for human resource training and the production and advancement of knowledge within Postgraduate research programs maintained by public higher education institutions. PROAP is governed by Ordinance No. 156, dated November 28, 2014, and is a key component of the program’s Funding strategy.
The objective of PROAP is to provide financial support for activities within postgraduate programs, encompassing:
I – Support for Innovation and impact: Focusing on the academic development of Postgraduate research programs (PPGs) to offer increasingly qualified and diverse training for students and researchers in postdoctoral research.
II – Funding of Academic Activities: Utilization of available resources to cover scientific and academic costs related to the awarding of Master’s and Doctoral degrees and postdoctoral research.
III – Strategic Governance: Support for the planning and execution of institutional Governance and postgraduate policies.
MANDATORY ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF SUPPORT
In accordance with Public information standards and CAPES Ordinance No. 206 (September 4, 2018), any academic publications or works produced in any media resulting from activities funded wholly or partially by CAPES must mandatory reference the support received. The following expressions must be included:
“O presente trabalho foi realizado com apoio da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – Brasil (CAPES) – Código de Financiamento 001”
and/or
“This study was financed in part by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – Brasil (CAPES) – Finance Code 001”.
