Danielly Mota

Background: Graduated in Biomedicine from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU-MG) in 2018.

Research project: Intends to understand the process of initial secretion of proteins involved in the Golgi complex, with particular interest in the GOLD domain of the human TMED1 protein, providing experimental data that lead to its better understanding, being fundamental to elucidate the initial secretion pathway.

Emanuel Kava

Background: Graduated in Physics from the Federal University of Paraná (2018). Has experience in Physics, with emphasis on Physics teaching to the deaf community. Currently, he is a M.Sc. Student from FFCLRP-USP, with an emphasis on structural studies of biomolecules by experimental biophysical techniques and molecular dynamics.

Research project: The current project focuses on the role of myristoylation, a lipid modification that allows GRASPs (Golgi Reassembly and Stacking Protein) to anchor in the membranes of Golgi cisternae. The project consists of the application of a myristoylation protocol and interaction with membranes of the GRASP55 and GRASP65 myristoylated domains.
