Coordinator

Vânia Carneiro de Carvalho

Professor at the Paulista Museum of the University of São Paulo, where she has been working since 1990 as a curator in the area of social history. She also works in the Postgraduate Program in Social History of the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences at USP. She is an associate researcher at the Curatorial Cycle Thematic Project, alongside which she coordinates two projects on the relations between gender, decoration and domestic work. In addition to numerous articles and book chapters, she has published the book Gender and Artifact: the domestic system in the perspective of material culture. São Paulo, 1870-1920 (Edusp, 2008).

Laíza Santana Oliveira

Historian with a bachelor’s degree in History (USP) and a Master’s degree in Social History (PPGHS – USP), funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Her work focuses on the relationships between body, material culture, gender and the History of the Present Time, based on the analysis of São Paulo funk culture. She is the author of the book SP 130 BPM: materiality and gender in the funk culture of São Paulo (1995-2014), published in 2021 by Ape’Ku.

Rafaela Basso

Historian in the Central Archive of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), where she holds the position of Director of the Management and Preservation of Documents and Information Area. She holds a degree in History from Unicamp, with a Master’s and a Doctorate’s degrees in History from the same institution.
