- If there is a Co-advisor, their name must appear in the Janus academic record. If not listed, the co-advisor has not been formally approved and must not be included in the document.
- Students must verify in their Janus record under which Graduate Regulations they are enrolled. This information is located at the bottom of the student record.
- CAPES Acknowledgment: If the student has received a CAPES scholarship or PROAP funding, acknowledgment is mandatory in accordance with CAPES Ordinance No. 206 (September 4, 2018), Article 1.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Important: The required documents for digital submission vary depending on the Graduate Regulations under which the student was enrolled. Please verify this information in Janus and follow the appropriate section below.

Authorization for Submission by CCP: Submit the completed and signed document (signed by both the student and the advisor), along with the copy(ies) of the article(s) and proof(s), via the form for CCP-PPGET endorsement: https://forms.gle/kAcmPxGyoYnFmfvRA
Copy of Brazilian ID or RNE for foreigner students: RG only; no other document accepted
Personal Information Form: provide a non-USP email for future contact
Birth or marriage certificate: if applicable, for proper accentuation of the name
Proof of submission: Submission of at least 1 (one) article to a scientific journal, co-authored with the advisor, on the topic developed in the dissertation, and submitted during the period the student is regularly enrolled in the Program. The journal article must be submitted to journals indexed in ISI Web of Science, Scopus, or SciElo at the time of submission
Undergraduate diploma: digital copy, front and back
Plagiarism Report: equivalent to the Originality Statement
Printed version delivery form: Guidance from the Graduate Office (SPG): Simply complete and submit the form via Digital Submission; there is no need to submit printed materials. Should the Office of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies (PRPG) request them, the SPG will contact you

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Approval of the Examination Committee
The proposed examination committee must be submitted to CCP-PPGET within 20 days after deposit. Once approved by CCP-PPGET, it will be forwarded to CPG for final approval. The advisor may schedule the defense only after CCP approval.
Defense
- The defense must take place within 105 days from CPG approval of the committee.
- The defense date and time must be communicated to the PPGET office (ppget.poli@usp.br) at least 30 days in advance.
- The Participation Declaration Form must be completed and submitted with the scheduling request.
- Avoid scheduling defenses on the last two days of the month to prevent delays in payment to external committee members.
- According to USP Graduate Regulations, both advisor and student must be physically present at the School.
- For remote defenses, a justified request must be submitted to CCP-PPGET.
Revised Version
The revised version must be uploaded in Janus within 60 days after the defense.
The advisor will be notified by email to approve the submission.
The cover page must state “Revised version.”
