 GOALS

The Sustainable Mining Network (SMN) is a collaborative scientific research network formed for the discussion and development of research and extension actions on the subject of sustainable mining, involving researchers, students, teachers and professionals in the mineral sector with a holistic view of the role of mining in sustainable development in the Sec. XXI. Our goals are:

-Select and add to the SMNrepository: research reports, dissertations, theses and high-impact scientific articles involving innovations that contribute to the environmental, social, economic and legal sustainability of mining.

-Promote the use of this repository on sustainable mining to support the discussion and promotion of public actions and policies that stimulate the sustainability of mining in Brazil.

– Align the performance of mining projects with the goals of reducing carbon emissions and the UN SDGs.
