Abstract: The crime of aggression was not defined in the text of the Statute of the International Criminal Court, concluded in Rome in 1998. The elaboration of the concept as well as related issues were decided at the Kampala Conference in 2010. Important issues related to the role of the Security Council and the scope of the Court’s jurisdiction in situations where the aggressor State does not accept the modifications to the Statute agreed in Kampala are the subject of this work. The purpose of this article is to analyse the main jurisdictional issues related to the implementation of the Kampala Amendments to the Statute of the International Criminal Court on the crime of aggression.
