Selective process

Applications for student selection in the Doctorate course in Pediatric Dentistry ( CAPES, grade 6 )  are open from 15/04/2021 to 11/06, with the start of the course scheduled for the 2nd semester of 2021.

Expo PG USP 2021

The EXPO PG USP 2021 event, a Post Graduate exhibition fair of the University of São Paulo took place on 02/09/2021. The President of the Post Graduate program at FORP, Prof. Dr. Raquel Assed Bezerra Segato attended the event and presented the FORP Post Graduate programs to the spectators.

 

Prof Dr. Léa Assed Bezerra da Silva, Professor at the Children’s health department at FORP/USP was also invited to attend. Her participation took place through a video statement that was broadcast during the event and showed the importance of Postgraduate studies in academic life. The vídeo will be made permanently available on the event site along with other testimonials from prominent personalities in different areas of knowledge.

Student on the Post graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry is contemplated in Public notice PRPG – Doctorate sandwich program abroad.

Doctoral student Lana Kei Yamamoto de Almeida, on the Post Graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry at FORP/USP, was contemplated with the Public notice of the Postgraduate Pro-rectory office PRPG 15/2020, to carry out an internship abroad for up to 6 months. The Doctoral sandwich abroad program aims to offer scholarships for internship in doctoral research abroad in order to complement the studies carried out on Postgraduate programs in Brazil in centres of excellence in other countries. The aim is to improve their training and intensify the internationalisation of Post graduate programs at USP.

The student will do an internship at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, United States.

5° Edition – Post Graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry at FORP-USP workshop.

The Postgraduate program in Pediatric Dentistry promotes the Pediatric Dentistry workshop which will take place on the 11^th and 12th of November 2020.

E-book “Trauma in permanent dentition in children and adolescents” – Clinical Protocols

Pediatric Dentistry USP Ribeirão has just released an eBook “Trauma in permanent dentition in children and adolescents- Clinical Protocols”. The book contains updated content and scientifically based protocols for decision making in treatment. The images make the reading very attractive!

The ebook was produced by Professor Alexandra Mussolino de Queiroz in collaboration with other colleagues in the Pediatric Dentistry discipline who work at the FORP-USP dental trauma care service. It will be available in different book shops (Amazon, Saraiva, Apple, Google Play, Livraria Cultura, Kobo, Ubook, 24symbols e Barnes & Noble).

Postgraduate student in Pediatric Dentistry is awarded the Santander Mobility 2017 notice.

Doctoral student, Juliana Arid, from the Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at FORP/USP, was awarded the Edital Auxílio Mobilidade Santander – Edital PRPG 03/2017, to carry out an internship for up to 3 months in centres of excellence in other countries. The aim being to improve training and to intensify the internationalization of the Post Graduate Programs at USP.

Juliana will do an internship at the University of Pittsburgh, from August to October 2017.

FORP receives  Prof. Higinio Arzate from the Universidad  Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM)

Between the 20th and 23rd of March 2017, the Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at FORP-USP received Prof. Higinio Arzate, head of the laboratory  of Periodontal Biology and mineralized tissues at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Professor Higinio has extensive experience in researching biological markers of root cemet which is responsible for the isolation and characterisation of two important molecules associated with the formation of this tissue (CEMP1 and HACD1/CAP). In addition to giving a lecture entitled “Human cementum proteins-derived peptides: their potential on tissue regeneration” the arrival of Prof. Higinio initiated the process of an agreement to obtain a double degree between UNAM and the Children’s Health Department at  FORP-USP for Doctoral students.

Doctoral student, Katharina Morant Holanda de Oliveira, on the Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at FORP/USP, was awarded the Edital Auxílio Mobilidade Santander – Edital PRPG 04/2016, to carry out an internship for up to 3 months in centres of excellence in other countries. The aim being to improve training and to intensify the internationalization of Post Graduate Programs at USP.

Katharina will do an internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from July to September 2016.

Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at FORP/USP receives the Tese Santander prize 2016

The CD. Rodrigo Alexandre Valério,on the Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at  FORP/USP, was awarded the  Prêmio Reconhecimento Tese Santander – Edital PRPG 02/2016.

The award was granted to the author of the most relevant thesis defended in the Post Graduate Programs at USP which became part of PROEX (concepts  6 and 7) at the last CAPES evaluation. The Thesis entitled “Removal of selective caries lesions in primary teeth using the   Er: YAG laser´: randomised clinical trial” under the tutorship of Prof. Dra. Silmara Aparecida Milori Corona and defended on the 14/08/2015.

Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry publishes the book ‘Clinical Protocols: Endodontic treatment in primary teeth.

The book “Clinical Protocols: Endodontic treatment in primary teeth’ organised by  Prof. Dr Léa Assed Bezerra da Silva (2015), is the result of work developed by Professors and students on the Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry at FORP/USP.
