Law and Praxis Journal: The argument of the “different voice” in the professional trajectories of TJPA female judges

The FDRP-USP associated professor Fabiana Severi and the master’s degree student Tharuell Lima Kahwage published in the Law and Praxis Journal the article “The argument of the ‘different voice’ in the professional trajectories of TJPA female judges”.

Based on semi-structured interviews with female judges from the Court of Justice of Pará (TJPA), the authors analyzed the bound between gender and jurisdictional action on Court, composed mostly of female judges, in terms of human and women’s rights assurance. Therefore, they came up with the following question: does the major presence of women on Court bring a different perspective on the judicial decision making process, at least in cases directly related to women’s rights?
