Graduated in Naval and Ocean Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1979), Master in Naval and Ocean Engineering – Yokohama National University (1982) and PhD in Naval and Ocean Engineering from the University of Tokyo (The University of Tokyo -1985).
Professor Kazuo is currently a full professor at the University of São Paulo. The specialization was in the field of Naval and Oceanic Engineering, with an emphasis on Hydrodynamics and Design of Ships and Oceanic Systems, but the performance has been in the integration of several knowledge of engineering fields and basic sciences as the founder of NUMERICAL OFFSHORE TANK (TPN). His research fields is mainly in the following topics: Numerical Simulation of Ocean Systems Dynamics, Development of New Ocean Systems. Recently, the emphasis is on Sustainable Ocean Developments and Digital Transformation.
