Mauricio Barbosa Costa Salles

Biography

Mauricio B. C. Salles has been an assistant professor at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo since 2010. In 2004, he obtained a master’s degree from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). From 2006 to 2008, he joined the staff at the Institute for Electrical Machines at RWTH Aachen University. In 2009, he received his PhD degree from the University of São Paulo (USP). Between 2014 and 2015, he was a visiting professor at Harvard University, at the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His main interests are distributed generation, dynamic analysis of electrical systems, stability, integration of renewable energies, energy storage, and electrical energy markets. He is one of the founders of the Advanced Electrical Networks Laboratory – LGrid.
