Professor Caetano Miranda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics from the State University of Campinas (1996), a Master’s degree in Physics from the State University of Campinas (1999) and a PhD in Science from the State University of Campinas (2003) with a degree at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).
He was an Associate Researcher at the Abdus Salam International Center of Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste – Italy (2003-2005) and completed a Post-Doctorate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) between 2005 and 2007.
Professor Caetano was an Assistant Professor at Kyoto University (Japan) between 2007 and 2009 and Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of ABC between 2009 and 2015. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Materials Physics and Mechanics at the Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo.
