He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (1987), a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1991) and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering – Technische Universitaet Darmstadt (1997).
He is currently an associate professor – MS-5 – at the University of São Paulo. Member of the Thermal and Environmental Engineering Laboratory (LETE). He has experience in the area of Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Combustion, working mainly on the following topics: combustion, computational fluid dynamics, diffusion flames, turbulence and pollutants in combustion.
