Laura Brizuela is a journalist, international analyst, and researcher with over 20 years of experience in journalism, institutional communication, research, and strategic content development. She currently serves as Communication & Dissemination of Knowledge Manager at the Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation (RCGI) at the University of São Paulo (USP), where she leads communication strategies to amplify scientific knowledge, strengthen institutional visibility, and connect research with society, stakeholders, and policymakers.

Her expertise lies in transforming complex scientific and technical information into clear, impactful narratives that support engagement, decision-making, and knowledge dissemination. She has experience in media relations, public relations, strategic communication, branding, scientific communication, events and conferences, as well as the production of digital and printed publications.

Laura holds a Ph.D. in International Political Economy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a Master’s degree in International Relations from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Palermo (UP). She is currently pursuing an MBA in Communication and Marketing at the School of Communications and Arts (ECA-USP) and conducting postdoctoral research funded by the University of São Paulo, focusing on the intersection of geopolitics, communication, energy transition, and global challenges.

With a global and multicultural perspective, Laura is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, with intermediate knowledge of German and basic knowledge of French. Her work is driven by the belief that effective communication can bridge the gap between science, innovation, and society, creating meaningful connections between knowledge and people.
