Biography

Luís Carlos Moreira Gomes, better known as Luís Moreira, has been an employee of USP since 1980, having worked in the area of Information Technology, until 2016, when he was invited to join the RCGI management team in the role of Executive Manager. Throughout his career at USP, he headed the IT Department at CODAGE for 6 years, the sector responsible for developing the institution’s corporate systems.

At RCGI, he acts as the leader of a group of experienced and competent people who provide support to directors and coordinators in administrative, financial, and material matters arising from research projects and in interaction with the respective external and internal agents: partner companies, foundations, research institutions, as well as USP itself.

To carry out such operations, the team relies on a management system that supports the group’s interaction with the hundreds of people linked to the centre, including project coordinators. The group also counts on technicians who provide support for videoconferencing equipment and computers, as well as the management of materials and maintenance services.

The good performance of this group greatly contributes to maintaining RCGI as a high-performance research and study centre.
