Project 32: REDUCTION OF GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS THROUGH THE CENTRAL THERMOELECTRIC INTEGRATION WITH TECHNOLOGIES OF CO2

(Project Concluded in July 08, 2020)

This project deal with CO2 utilization, emphasizing chemical conversion processes that use CO2 as feedstock to generate high added-value products. The main objective is to deeply study CO2 conversion processes, including their modeling, simulation and optimization, thus contributing for their implementation in the production stage. The most promising products from CO2 and their respective process technologies are selected in order to build a conceptual process design, trough realistic material and energy balances.  Technical, economic and environmental feasibility assessment are carried out.
