The main goal of this project is the creation of a laboratory infrastructure for the measurement of physical chemical properties of oil, natural gas, natural gas rich in CO2 (its major contaminant in the pre-salt), pure CO2, and all the mixtures of these fluids in sub and supercritical conditions. In this way, it aims at creating an infrastructure that does not exist in the University, offering robust support to the needs of all research lines developed in or outside of USP that need information on these properties on the above-mentioned conditions. As an example, we can mention CO2 abatement, energy efficiency, enhanced oil recovery, etc.
