The Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation at the University of São Paulo (RCGI-USP) welcomed, on 27 August 2026, an institutional delegation from Beihang University (China), led by Prof. Zhao Weisheng, Vice President of the University, and comprising representatives from senior management and the areas of international relations, science, technology and innovation.
Recognised as one of China’s leading universities in science and technology, Beihang has strong expertise in fields including aeronautics and astronautics, artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, energy and propulsion, computing, automation, materials, mathematics and biomedical engineering.
The visit aimed to deepen cooperation between RCGI-USP and Beihang University, as well as to identify new opportunities for joint research, technological development and innovation projects.
During the visit, the 3rd Beihang Brazil Innovation Forum was held, bringing together researchers from USP and Beihang with representatives of Chinese companies operating in Brazil. The forum sought to strengthen connections between academia and the private sector and to identify concrete opportunities for joint research, technological development, innovation and technology transfer.
